Time to Come

Hallo everybunny,

Haven't posted in a while. I am finishing (actually, have finished) high school education this year and in the Autumn I'm going to the college. Obviously, that's a major life changing moment and some thing are gonna change.

First thing first, I'm 90% positive that I won't be taking my two "officially mine" rabbits with me. The reason is that I'm not simply moving to another city, I'm gonna have to adjust to the new lifestyle for the beginning and will hardy find enough time to give to my rabbits. I don't want unhappy animals that are gonna be closed in my apartment for the entire day. I'm not quitting my rabbits, they are going to stay on my parents' "farm" and I'll get to see them every few weeks. I will continue working on my little breeding project.

As of the idea of having chicken that I really wanted last Autumn and waited until this Spring, I don't believe I will get any in near future. There are two main reasons, I live on a property that's actually my grandpa's and I would have to negotiate for soooo long to get some space for my animals. The second one is the rabbit thing again, I don't want to start something new and then go away in few months.

When it comes to a bit further future, I really have no idea (and at the same time have a billion ideas) about what I want to do with my life. I am planning on studying Biology. And after that? Boy, I have no strict plans. I'm affraid that the situation will not change much in 5-7 years of my study and that I would have to seek my life happines somewhere else. The most terrifying thing would be leaving my family and animals. On the other hand, my perception of owning animals changed a lot since I decided I wanted to keep that little orange rabbit kit. Exploring my options since I got Fawn made me realise that animals, and farming in general, can be modern, small, urban backyard journey.

I would like to raise goats. I want chickens and rabbits and a piece of land that I can do what I feel I shall do with it. First off, I have to concentrate on my studies and make sure I finish it all in max. 7 years period. After that, I guess I'll see where life takes me. At the and of the day, all I'm asking for is to be able to take my Fawn and Rubin along.
