Babies Arrived

Hello everybunny.

As of today, we are marrier for six new memebers. SIX. And to be exactly honest, I didn't expect Fawn to delivere this many. I mean, it's  not really that many babies, but considering that Fawn wasn't accepting of Rubin and is a first-timer, I thought 4 will be the maximum. Also, I didn't expect this litter for about 2 more days, but seems like Fawn and Rubin did it right the first time they were together. Here is a few pictures of our babies, there are six, I know I could try sexing them, but I don't really want to handle them just yet. Sexes are to be announced, as well as colours, but seems like we have some darker and some lighter babies.

What do we have here?

Look, it's kittens (rabbit babies).

Fawn's logic of chosing the place to build a nest.

Here's the view of the nest from another angle.

Fawn actually pulled some fur under the huch,
maybe her original plans were to kindle there?

I know it's not that great photo, but it shows baby's full tummy.

Me: "Who's a good mama?"
Fawn: "I'm a mother now, be aware!"

Here is one for the end.

For more information on the litter, make sure you visit our Litters page. Also, make sure you visit RPR YouTube and see the first video of the babies. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for news.

Expecting

Hello everybunny,

No, no, it's not me Fawn turned into a cavy. Even though it would be pretty awsome change. Just kidding. Marko and his family visited 10th National Junior Small Animals Show, and they saw quite a happy bunch of rabbits, chickens, cavies, pidgeons, quails and egzotic tiny birds we don't know the name of. Make sure to check our YouTube channel for the video (WeekendVlog#7). What's been going on is that I, along with my sisters, am supposed to kindle in about 2-5 days, so there was some work done around my colony to make it ready for the kits. So, here are few pictures from The Show and a quick update on all the buns. Enjoy:

Random Peruvian Cavies, pretty messy little fellows.

Marko's favourite pal on the show. Marko decided to use flashlight. He shouldn't have.

Yepp, his colour is so great.

Another beauty. Many of there Dwarf Lops were for sale in fact.
Too bad we don't have any more space around.

My sister Erna preparing to become a mommy.

Yepp, we expect her nest to be a masterpiece.

Yikes, this is not a flattering photo.

Nestbox to be installed here.

Here it is. Quite fancy, don't you think.

Looks decent enough on the inside as well.

 And another one here, please.

There it goes. This one in lifted on bricks to provide me and my babies more space.

See, it looks rustical, yet modern.

Sniffing around, making sure everything is set and secure before my babies arrive.

Now, this is a better photo.

You see what my sister Kreja did to her litterbox the minute she got it.
Seems like someone is gonna have a bit different treatment.

*The alternative to using nestboxes some people opt for is letting a doe build her own nest with only straw/hay/fur, without placing a box per se in her cage. We usually do not use this method, but Kreja is chewing on every nestbox she gets and we concluded that this may be the safer option for her and her kits.

Proud father to be, Rubin really got nervous past few days.
Marko finds it difficult to pet him lately,
seems like it's not only me really excited about what's gonna happened soon.

Hope you liked this post, I did enjoy the photoshoot we had an all the works we did to get everything set for the big event that's taking place in a few days. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

With Love,
-Lovely Miss Fawn

Long Time no See

Hello Everybunny,

I feel like I am really neglecting blog lately, but I am so bussy preparing for the winter with my rabbits, with all the breeding and "is she pregnant" going around, plus the idea of getting into chicken husbandry and not to mention school... But, here I am. No WeedendVlog this weekend, I simply don't feel like filimg another one of boring vids with nothing new. Here's a few photos of today:

(Hopefully) Mama to be enjoying a lot of resting. Fawn's nipples became visible (I acidentely felt them while pettig her) which makes me really believe we have kits on the way:

(Hopefully) Papa to be is in fact a really messy guy. I swear I could clean his hutch everyday and he would still manage to tun it into a piggy palace:

Lav is adapting to his new home so well. I know all three photos look alike, but he simply didn't feel like moving at all. I guess we could play Find the difference. Anyway, only 10 more days of quarantineing:

That's pretty much it. I will upload a post with my chicken coop that is still in process of being made, I plan for it to be up during this week, Wednesday-Thursday. That's pretty much it for this post, hope you enjoyed reading/watching pics. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
